I thought long and hard about my first tattoo but never really looked hard enough for the best artist. That was a big mistake. I drew up this beautiful tattoo. It was perfectly drawn. Not a flaw in the drawing. Now i just needed a tattoo artist to put it on me. Well I found one. I wasn't experience in this kind of thing. I didn't know to look at his work (current work) and see how good he was or to even look around for other artist whom might be better. He was the first one I knew so I let him do it. Boy did I make a mistake. It turned out horrible. Now Its nearly impossible to be fixed. Ive spoken with several artist and they cant figure out what do to with it yet. So just a suggestion make sure you look at their portfolio and be sure its a good artist that everyone trust before you just jump right in on the first person you meet.
Now I have a personal artist with whom I trust. He is very close to me and I would let him do whatever he wanted. Hes the best.

One year old dances away.
My best friend has 3 girls and the youngest one is turning one. She my sweet precious niece. She shocked me when she started walking and tonight she shocked me again.
I arrived at their house to drop off her presents when her mom told me she was dancing now. I couldn't believe it. So they turned on the radio and told her to 'drop it like its hot'. Right then she started dancing. It was the cutest thing ever. Bouncing up and down with her hands in the air. Laughing as she danced. I couldn't believe it, my baby niece was growing up to fast.

A cabin on the lake.
My husband and I found the best place to take a vacation that was close to home and didn't cost a fortune. Its a place where you can go for the day, stay the weekend or even stay the week.
If you go for the day they have picnic tables and grills. Just $3 to park and you can swim in the lake all day. The lake has a roped off area for the swimmers. A nice beach area to lay out or even build sandcastles. A kids jungle gym area and old fashion porch swings that look on to the beach.
They have several cabins that sleep from 6 to 10 people that could be rented for the weekend or the whole week. We rented the whole week for only $300.00. The cabins have bathrooms, showers, sinks, stoves and refrigerator. A huge screened in front porch with rocking chairs.
You could also rent canoes and travel around the lake. If you rented a cabin you got the canoe the whole time you were there. We went around the lake and fished out of the canoe. You can also walk the trail that they have if you wanted. Theres a large conference room and mess hall that makes it ideal for family reunions, corporate functions, church outings, wedding and even bunk beds for scout trips. That building is a little more costly of course.
Its a beautiful place to be so close to home. Only takes us 45 minutes to get there but you would think your in the middle of no where or the mountains or something. You would never guess that your only 15 minutes from town. Which is a small one but still a town. Makes us feel like we are miles and miles from home and civilization. But yet we are only 45 minutes from our house.
Some of you might know the place and wonder what I see. I see an inexpensive, relaxing, not far from home, comfortable vacation spot. That place is called Horseshoe Lake.

A Cat named Peter.
Yes I'm the crazy one who named my cat Peter. Its been about a year ago this sickly ugly stray cat showed up at my house. I'm the first one to tell you...I hate cats! This cat was starving to death and was very nasty. Someone had dropped him off and left him for dead. I was in my carport one day when he showed up. Like everyone else I didn't want to feed him because then he wouldn't leave. So the next day he was still here. Eating grass right in front of me. I couldn't help it, I could not sit here and watch this thing starve and die in my yard. So, my husband took some Vienna sausages, that's all we had, chopped them up in a bowl and he ate it so fast it was like one bite. Of course he was still here the next day. Vienna sausages again for the second day. The third day I caved in and bought a small bag of food. He started becoming a happy little cat. Laying around the carport all day. Well I did mention that I hate cats, but this particular cat wanted to be around me. My husband fed him and gave him water but he still wanted to be around me. Needless to say I named him peter and he is a big fat lazy lovable cat now. He completely loves it here and is as healthy as can be. The squirrels taunt him because he cant catch them. Yet he tries. The birds pay him no mind as he sleeps in the grass right beside them. He hasn't a care in the world. That's my peter.
Waiting on the coach!
Another year of after school practices and waiting on the coach. Every year whether its for basketball or football with my son, I get a scheduled practice of what time it starts and when its over. Yet every year I end up waiting on the coach because he decides to practice just a little longer than the said time. So here I am sitting in the parking lot patiently waiting. Believe me by the end of the season Ill be aggravated by having to sit and wait. Ill be ready for a vacation, but then the next season of another sport will start. Thus the never ending story of my grumpiness that I really wouldn't change for the world. I love being a parent....for now...lol

Message in a bottle...found letters!
So as I said I did the research and found messages sent by the ocean blue.
One they believed was a man trapped on an island trying to be rescued. Yep that's right, no love story there, just someone desperately trying to get home. I never did find out if he was ever rescued??? I found research that goes back as far as 310 BC by a Greek philosopher. Another in England by Elizabeth I, whom she appointed someone the official 'Uncorker of Ocean Bottles' and made it an offense to open the bottles.
Many passengers and sailors for centuries have been recorded having sent messages in bottles. Benjamen Franklin was among the ones who sent messages threw the ocean for research purposes of course. Many children have done it and received pin pals. But I've yet to find the 'True Love' message. So in my heart somewhere there is a love letter sent by the ocean blue and someday someone will find it, if not already. It would be so cool to find one of my own while taking a stroll with my husband on the beach. That would be nice.

Message in a Bottle
Ive watched the movie over and over and still love it. I was watching it again the other day and wondered what could I write that could be so inspiring to whoever found it. I'm happily married so nothing about looking for my long lost love. The movie inspired me to think of what really matters to me and would it inspire someone else? So as I think of this I wondered if anyone else had done the same. Has anyone wrote a letter and sent it away to the deep blue? Has anyone found a message and replied? Did it inspire them in anyway or change their lives? And so my research begins. And as I hunt I hope to find something to tell you about in a later blog.
A River Side Home or Disaster?
Its a beautiful river side home that is in a flood zone.
Yesterday my husband and I took a trip to pick up a motorcycle he was buying from this guy. Its a beautiful home raised up high on stilts. Its on the Suwanee River where they have a little hut built with a shower and toilet inside. As you come to the edge you walk down the steps to the halfway point, about 20 ft, where there is a platform with a picnic table and chairs. Continue down more stairs to the bottom, another 20ft, where the small beach area is. And there is a dock that leads out a ways to their boat.
As I looked around I thought how beautiful and relaxing. I wanted to hang out there and bring my family and just make a summer of it. It was so nice.
Until the owner told me of the time it flooded. She said it was flooded 3ft into her house. Now lets get this straight. Its approximately 40 to 50ft from the ground down to the river. Her house is on stilts which is about 10 to 12ft above the ground. That's a total of 50 to 60ft that the river rose to flood that area. That's a scary thought to have the chance your house and everything you own be destroyed by the flood.
Needless to say the place didn't look so beautiful after that. She said that they boated in and out of their house for weeks. Then as the water receded they had to live in a travel trailer for about a month til the house was repaired.
My thought after that was it would be a great vacation home, just make sure you leave nothing of value around or in the house cause it may not be there when you come back.

Warning..You may be fired!
So I posted a comment the other day on my facebook page and got a warning from my job.
Have you ever been at work and it was so boring that you just felt like saying. "I hate it here I just want to go home."? Well i did, but i said it on facebook. That was three days ago. Today my manager came to me and practically gave me a warning about posting things about my job. Wow....just a little thought in my head caused some people to stir up things at my job. I guess freedom of speech is out the window, even if its on your facebook. Just goes to show no matter how you intended it to be someone always takes it in the other direction.

I hate my job.
Ive been working at this job for 11 years and I hate my job. At first it was nice, a small mom and pop hardware store that everyone knows everyone. As the years went on I began to really get to know the people I work with and the customers. I began to realize that they are all very bad people. They are bullies, pushovers, drunks, stuck ups and mostly idiots. They treat me like im the stupid one. They make smart remarks that hurt my feelings, on purpose, to make them feel superior in front of everyone else. Then try to say it was a joke later. They keep employees that are in their circle, per say, and let them get away with anything. Yet if I happen to do the same thing as a mistake, I get wrote up. Then the economy dropped and there were no jobs available. People were jobless by the millions, so leaving for another job is out of the question. So im stuck in this dead end job that i cant stand. So ready for this to end.
Waiting for the economy to pick back up! Until then 'I hate my job'.

Move or Stay
Its a lazy day today. Just hanging with my hubby at the house relaxing. Which we hardly ever get to do..lol. Trying to figure out if we should move from the area or not. My son is 13 and he has lots of friends around here and we really dont think we should move him away from them. He has grown up with these kids it would be hard on him if we did. We are ready to have our own place and not rent anymore. Any thoughts on that one?
